Starting Your MLM Program - How to
Make a Commitment
I'm Ready To Take The Plunge: Now What?
Once you've decided that you would like to pursue a career
in Network Marketing, your first challenge is in finding a
company with which to align yourself. Although there are a
lot of people making a lot of money, it's important to
remember that for every one that has succeeded, ten have
failed.
This particular industry has a high failure rate that can
blamed first and foremost on the fact that people jump in
quickly, expect to become rich behind their wildest dreams
and fall flat on their faces.
To avoid their mistakes, there are basically five things
that you should look for when choosing a network marketing
company.
The integrity of the organization itself should be the first
thing you investigate. The definition of the word integrity
is a steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code.
The questions to ask are (1) Do they have a good quality
product? And (2) do they stand behind it? The worst
situation you can find yourself in is choosing a company
that offers a product that they will not stand behind or is
of dubious quality.
A key to remember here is that your success in this business
will ultimately depend on whether or not people will
purchase the product or service you represent. As most of
your sales will be to family members, friends and coworkers,
the last thing you want to do is sell them something that
doesn't deliver.
The second thing to investigate is whether the distributors
or the shareholders drive a particular organization? If a
company makes its decisions with the representative in mind,
success is much easier to come by.
If they're a publicly traded company that has to answer to a
board and it's shareholders, however, you may just find
yourself caught between a rock and a hard place. For
example, some of the best and most successful sales
organizations are those run by executives that are actually
out they're selling.
The first ones to fold are usually the ones that are made up
of executives that have never done the job.
In addition to making sure that the company stands behind
and offers a product or service of high quality, it is
imperative that you actually enjoy and use the product you
choose to represent. If you love it, you'll want to share it
automatically, you'll want tell your friends and family
about it.
When this comes naturally, your network marketing venture
proceeds as if on it's own. As those same people watch your
success, they'll also want to become involved and if they
love the product as well, it's an easy decision for them to
start buying wholesale themselves.
The fourth key to success is to find a company that has a
proven system. You'll spend way too much time trying to
develop your own and in most cases, people have come before
you that have already worked out the kinks.
While you may not find this from the company itself, be sure
and discuss it with your sponsor and others who have been
successful. Your sponsors success is directly relative to
your own so make sure this is a person that is doing well
himself and is willing to be a team leader that shares his
tips.
Finally, take a look at the management team behind the
organization you're considering. Strong management is a must
in any industry and this one is no exception. Industry
experience is key. How long have they been in business?

Direct Marketing Association.
Legimate companies should be more than willing to provide
any information you request so ask for it. Start-ups come
and go every day. It's imperative to your success that you
align yourself with a company that has been and will be
around for the duration.
